Blavod unveils Asian venture

UK drinks company Blavod Extreme Spirits unveiled plans to roll out new brands today as part of a joint venture with Asian beverages giant Suntory.

Blavod will use its expertise in creating new products, while Suntory will provide the funding for the joint venture, which is called Diamante Spirits.

The pair will concentrate on high growth market segments such as premium vodka, tequila, rum and gin with the first new product due later this year.

Blavod, which is based in London with offices in the United States, sells its black-coloured vodka throughout the world.

Shares were up 9% today as Blavod also said sales continued to show “significant” increases in the UK and US.
