Digicel appoints Brewer as CEO

Denis O'Brien's Digicel Group today announced Stephen Brewer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Trinidad & Tobago.

Mr Brewer is expected to commence this position from November 1.

Brewer was instrumental in preparing Eircell for sale to the Vodafone Group in one of Ireland's largest corporate deals. He became CEO of Vodafone (Ireland) and oversaw its transition from a stand-alone national company to an integral part of the Vodafone Group.

“Stephen’s proven leadership and experience in the telecommunications industry position him to successfully lead Digicel to become the number one mobile telecommunications company in Trinidad & Tobago,” said Mr O’Brien, founder and chairman, Digicel Group.

Since its launch in 2001, Digicel has become the fastest growing wireless telecommunications operator in the Caribbean.
