Morrisons sells more stores
British supermarket group Morrisons today announced the sale of a further batch of stores acquired in its £3bn (€4.4bn) takeover of rival Safeway.
The group said it had agreed to sell nine Safeway stores with a value of around £16.8m (€24.7m) to rival Sainsbury’s, with the bulk in the South of England and one in Scotland.
