Treasury Holdings has announced details of a €120m investment to develop Ireland’s first Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Powerscourt, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.

The hotel, which is set to generate up to €60m annually for the Irish tourism industry, will be the largest and most sophisticated international five star luxury golf and spa resort hotel in Ireland, and one of the leading resort hotels in Europe.

Up to 800 jobs will be created by the development making it one of the largest single employers in the Co Wicklow and South Dublin areas.

300 people will be employed directly at the hotel on a year-round basis. A further 500 will be employed directly and indirectly during the two year construction phase.
