Heathrow catering row escalates

A catering row which has hit British Airways services escalated tonight after the airline was forced to halt all check-in to its flights at Heathrow airport.

The action, which was bound to lead to flight cancellations, was taken after some BA staff stopped work in sympathy with staff sacked by the Gate Gourmet company which supplies food to BA flights.
