Biotech firm developing universal 'flu vaccine

A new vaccine that could offer lifetime protection against all types of ‘flu is being developed by UK biotech firm Acambis, it emerged today.

Cambridge-based Acambis said the vaccine would end the need for people to have ‘flu jabs each year and may also protect them against any virulent new strains that emerge.
