Wi-Fi on way for Cork Airport
Wireless broadband (Wi-Fi) is to be made available to passengers at Cork Airport in a new deal between BT and the airport.
The service will allow passengers to securely access the internet and corporate systems at broadband speeds while waiting for flights. To access, commuters need a Wi-Fi enabled device such as a PDA or WLAN card to insert into their laptop.
There are already more than 250 BT Openzone wireless broadband sites throughout Ireland, and more than 30,000 globally through roaming agreements with other international providers including T-Mobile, Orange, Telecom Italia and Telia-Sonera.
One-hour vouchers to access the service cost €10 while one-day vouchers are priced at €15.
