Unilever Q2 profits slide 20%

Knorr-to-Domestos group Unilever said today its western European division needed to become competitive after second quarter profits fell 20%.

The consumer products giant described conditions in the UK, France and Netherlands as disappointing and said it would do more to fight rivals.
