Shoppers in UK stay away after London bombings

The number of shoppers on UK high streets fell to their lowest level for four years in July following the deadly bomb attacks in London, it emerged today.

Retail tracking agency SPSL found numbers across the nation were down 2.4% last month compared with a year ago – the worst level for July since 2001.
