3G roll-out boosts Vodafone numbers

The launch of 3G services to pre-paid customers boosted Vodafone's Irish subscriber numbers by 29,000, the company said today.

The new customers signed up in the three months to June 30 and were comprised of 26,000 pre-paid and 3,000 post-paid customers.
