The European Central Bank is unlikely to introduce a rate cut in the short term, according to the latest Bank of Ireland Global Markets economic research bulletin.

Bank of Ireland Group chief economist Dr Dan McLaughlin said that although the market had anticipated a rate cut in June, a combination of factors means it is unlikely this rate cut will now materialise.
