Law Society dismisses proposals for legal sector reform

The Law Society has reportedly dismissed the Competition Authority's main proposals for reform of the legal profession.

In a report last February, the authority sought the creation of an independent body staffed mainly by non-lawyers that would regulate and set standards in legal education.
