Loganair begins Knock-Dublin services

British Airways franchise partner Loganair today launched new daily air services between Knock Airport and Dublin.

The airline will operate daily flight services from Knock Airport for a three-year period commencing tomorrow.

The new services will depart from Knock Airport weekdays at 7:30am arriving at Dublin Airport at 8:20am, with return flights leaving Dublin each day at 6.10pm and arriving in Knock at 7pm.

At weekends, flights will depart at 9:30am, arriving in Dublin at 10:20am, and return at the same evening weekday departure time of 6:10pm.

The services will be operated with 34 seat Saab 340B aircraft, which are the mainstay of Loganair’s scheduled service operations in Ireland.

Commenting on the new Loganair services, Liam Scollan, managing director, Knock International Airport, said: “We are delighted to welcome Loganair to our expanding portfolio of airlines operating from Knock.

"In partnership with Aer Arann, who operated this service up to now, we are very pleased to have significantly developed the passenger traffic on the Knock to Dublin route to in excess of 18,000 passengers per annum."

Jim Cameron, Loganair’s Chief Executive, said: “We are pleased to have been chosen by the Irish Government to operate the Knock - Dublin route continuing a long association with Ireland.

"The benefit of our franchise relationship with British Airways means that bookings can be made on the ba.com website not only in Ireland but worldwide. Our object is to serve the local business needs and to encourage more leisure and tourism on the route.”
