After five days of gains the ISEQ finally slipped back today, closing down 21.30 points at 6707.96 today.

After five days of gains the ISEQ finally slipped back today, closing down 21.30 points at 6707.96 today.

Bank of Ireland's share price slipped 19c to €13.66, while AIB shares were down 4c at €17.85. Irish Life & Permanent shares were at unchanged at €14.50, but Anglo Irish was up 4c at €10.94.

Elsewhere shares in Ryanair closed up 5c at €6.85. Ryanair today named Pisa as its 14th European base and announced three new routes to Dublin, Eindhoven and Alghero from the Italian airport.

Pharmaceutical giant Elan has slipped back 3c today to €6.54 despite yesterday's positive news about clinical trial data on the company's multiple sclerosis drug Tysabri.

Shares in building materials giant CRH fell 16c today to €22.54.

Jury's Doyle Group - the subject of takeover speculation in recent months - saw shares fall 20c to €15.40 today.
