Xilinx to establish €7.5m research centre in Dublin
A new €7.5m research centre has been designated for the European headquarters of Xilinx in Dublin.
Xilinx is a world leader in programmable logic solutions. The facility will work in tandem with Xilinx Research Labs in the United States. The new labs will open in September.
The development was formally announced in Dublin today by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheál Martin and Paul McCambridge, vice president and managing director of Xilinx Ireland.
Its establishment will be supported by IDA Ireland.
Xilinx currently employs 450 people in Ireland.
