SFA welcomes new migrant work measures

The Small Firms Association has welcomed the new Employment Permits Bill, which will bring in new measures to deal with migrant workers.

Patricia Callan, SFA assistant diretor said the bill willl "set out rights and obligations on all sides".

“After five years of significant immigration and fairly ad hoc immigration policy-making, the government has taken a significant step in developing a comprehensive policy, with the publication of this Bill.

"This Bill will remove the wide-scale confusion that employers, as well as migrant workers, have experienced with the immigration system,” she said.
