BT Ireland ups ante in broadband battle
BT Ireland today fired the latest round in the broadband battle, reinforced its commitment to "always-on" with the launch of a new offer for first time users, along with price cuts for existing customers.
The entry level promotional offer will bring always-on broadband to first time users for prices from €15 per month.
Today’s announcement aims to re-energise the market and encourage consumers to sign up for "always-on" broadband at affordable flat rate prices.
The company also announced price cuts for its existing broadband customers.
The new promotion will be available from July 11.
BT Ireland chief operating officer Mike Maloney said: “We believe this strategy will stimulate broadband adoption and help the government achieve its broadband targets.”
