Irish Chambers reach final of world competition

Waterford Chamber of Commerce and the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland (CCI) have been selected as finalists in the World Chambers Competition.

The finals takes place in Durban, South Africa next Wednesday.

Waterford Chamber, which is currently the CCI Chamber of the Year, is one of four finalists in the “Best Business Project” category for its “Training Solutions” initiative.

CCI is one of six finalists in the “Best Chambers Management and Financing Project”.

This is the second World Chambers Competition which was initiated as a means of giving international recognition to the most innovative projects recently undertaken by local, regional and national chambers of commerce from around the world.

The two Irish initiatives were short-listed from entries received from chambers around the world.

The World Chambers Competition is organised by the World Chambers Federation – a specialised division of the International Chamber of Commerce.
