Ryanair gets thumbs-up from aviation magazine

International magazine Aviation Week has ranked Ryanair as the ‘top-performing medium airline’ in the world.

AirWatch Report’s chief analyst, Michael K Lowry, said Ryanair had "identified emerging regional opportunities, optimised its business strategy and executed it in a superior manner".

The ranking was based on categories such as operating performance, strategy, growth, financial health and revenue.

Ryanair’s chief financial officer Howard Millar said: "That last year Aviation Week found Ryanair to be the ‘Worlds Top-Performing Small Airline’ and this year to be the ‘Worlds Top-Performing Medium Airline’, is testimony to our controlled growth over the past year and continued strong financial performance.”
