IFA warns of sugar beet crisis

The Irish Farmers Association's national council is meeting in emergency session this morning to discuss what it believes is an impending crisis for sugar beet growers.

The IFA claims planned EU reforms will lead to dramatic cuts in beet prices and will put growers out of business.
