Beamish extends price freeze until next year
Beamish and Crawford has extended a freeze on its wholesale prices in an effort to take more business away from Diageo.
The company, whose products include Beamish stout, Miller, Fosters, Kronenburg and Carling, said it would not be increasing its prices until next year at the earliest.
The company froze its wholesale prices last June and says its products are now around 50 cents cheaper than most others.
Earlier this month, Diageo, which makes Guinness, Budweiser, Smithwicks, Carlsberg and Harp, announced that it would putting up its prices by four cents per pint.
