IWP won't make market expectation, board warns

The board of consumer and personal care group IWP International has warned market expectations for the year ahead are unlikely to be achieved.

"In light of the current difficult trading environment, particularly in the UK market, the Board is of the opinion that market expectations for the year to March 31 2006 are unlikely to be achieved," the company's chief executive said.

The Board believes that operating performance this year will continue to show progress. The savings arising from the closing of the Dublin Head Office will flow through in the year to March 31, 2007.
