The chief executive of Irish Life & Permanent plc, David Went, has announced a number of changes to the group’s senior management team.

All-change for IL&P management team

The chief executive of Irish Life & Permanent plc, David Went, has announced a number of changes to the group’s senior management team.

Denis Casey has been appointed chief executive of permanent tsb, the group’s banking business. Mr Casey is currently chief executive of Irish Life (Retail). He succeeds Brian McConnell, who has opted to retire from the group at the end of June.

Kevin Murphy has been appointed chief executive of Irish Life (Retail). Mr Murphy is currently chief executive of Irish Life Investment Managers (ILIM).

Gerry Keenan has been appointed chief executive of Irish Life Investment Managers (ILIM). He is currently Director of Investment Development at ILIM.

Mr Went said: “The task for each of the incoming chief executives will be to develop the outstanding franchise that their businesses currently enjoy and maintain the momentum.

“They have already proven their abilities in their former positions and we look forward to similar success in their new roles.”
