BT continues support for Young Scientist Exhibition
BT today announced that it will continue its sponsorship of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, committing €1.5m over the next three years.
This is the ninth year of BT’s sponsorship of the prestigious competition, which is one of the largest events of its kind in the world.
The company is introducing a fresh new look and feel to the competition, now in its 42nd year, in line with its rebranding to BT.
A larger prize fund has been made available for the top awards to reflect the importance of the winners’ achievements.
The BT Young Scientist(s) of the Year 2006 will now receive €5,000 along with the Young Scientist Waterford Crystal Trophy; plus the chance to represent Ireland at the prestigious European Union Young Scientists competition. The best individual or group project will now receive €2,000 and the runner-up individual and group will get €1000.
