Naas electrics plant to shed 245 jobs
Mana Donnelly Electrics in Naas, Co Kildare has announced that 245 jobs will be shed.
The firm has announced that the jobs are to go as part of a restructuring plan.
It has said the remaining 235 jobs are safe and it is planning a €4m investment in the plant.
Union leaders are to meet management on Monday to discuss the reasons and redundancy terms.
SIPTU's branch secretary in the county, Seamus Buggle, has said it is tough on the workers, who have given the company years of service.
