Fingleton re-appointed to Competition Authority

John Fingleton was today re-appointed as chairman of the Competition Authority.

Announcing the reappointment, Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment Micheál Martin said he was delighted Dr Fingleton has decided to stay as chairman of the Authority.

"He has successfully overseen this change which has come about primarily as a result of the enhanced enforcement powers granted to the Authority in the Competition act 2002," said Minister Martin.
