Cruise Europe AGM takes place in Cork
The AGM of Cruise Europe has been taking place in Cork's Clarion Hotel today.
This is the first time a Cruise Europe event has been held in Ireland.
Marine Minister Pat the Cope Gallagher today addressed the meeting in the Clarion Hotel, Cork.
The cruise sector also makes a major contribution to the Irish economy. In 2004, expenditure increased by 22%, and it is expected that there will be a further 22% growth in 2005.
This will bring the total direct and indirect expenditure from the cruise industry to just under €100m.
