UK magazine publisher Future today unveiled a £30.5m (€45m) deal to buy a string of titles from rival Highbury House Communications – just two weeks after pulling its offer for the whole firm.

Future, which withdrew its £96.5m (€142.4m) takeover offer after the deal was referred to the British Competition Commission, plans to buy 38 magazines including Fast Car, Fast Bikes and DVD Review.
