The insurance company AXA is to refund €1.7m to customers, after withholding the money over a 13-year period, it emerged tonight.

The insurance company AXA is to refund €1.7m to customers, after withholding the money over a 13-year period, it emerged tonight.

AXA had a policy of not refunding customers if they overpaid for home or motor insurance policies by €25 or less.
