Euro-zone growth to lag behind US this year

A new European economic research project has predicted that economic growth in countries using the euro will lag behind US growth this year.

Euroframe, an alliance of bodies including Ireland's Economic and Social Research Institute, said growth in the so-called euro-zone was expected to be modest this year.
