Austrian Airlines increases capacity to Dublin
Austrian Airlines is once again providing direct capacity from Dublin to Vienna in its 2005 summer schedule, with up to six flights per week to its hub.
The summer 2005 programme represents an increase of up to 50% on the airline's 2004 peak season direct capacity.
Only 10% of all cargo shipped on Austrian from Ireland is destined for Vienna, the bulk being for the airline's growing network throughout Eastern and Central Europe which now covers 30 destinations.
International Airline Marketing (IAM) now plans to consolidate Austrian Airlines' niche in the Irish market with the launch of the airline's priority service.
Says IAM Managing Director Ian McCool: "The number of carriers flying direct from Ireland is increasing each year and the competition is fierce. But very few operators can match Austrian's capacity, frequency and quality of service throughout Central and Eastern Europe."
IAM represents 11 leading airlines including Austrian Airlines, and uplifts some 15% of all Irish airfreight exports.
