Boots finance director quits

Health and beauty chain Boots dealt a fresh blow to its investors today with the news that its finance director has resigned.

Boots confirmed the departure of Howard Dodd after three years, but said his resignation was offered before the retailer shocked the City with a profits warning at the start of this month.
