Simply Mortgages: 'Small firms best' for home insurance value

Simply Mortgages have welcomed the survey on home insurance published today by IFSRA.

The survey compares the premiums charged by a variety of insurance companies for home insurance based on different circumstances.

Simply Mortgages emerges as the most consistent source of competitive premiums in the survey; responsible for one of the top three quotes in five of the six profiles quoted – with savings of up €307 between the Simply Mortgages quote and that of a major competitor.

Simply Mortgages managing director, Peter Bastable said: "This confirms that the larger companies in the insurance business are very often the least competitive.

"Simply Mortgages is just a fraction of the size of many of our competitors but our call centre can be accessed by customers across the country and we’ve been able to source insurance for our customers at a fraction of the premiums charged by many of our competitors."
