Bank of Scotland (Ireland) has reported strong results for last year.

The group announced a 41% rise in pre-tax profits for 2004 ending December to €148m.

Lending growth in Ireland climbed 59% last year with customer deposits up 27%.

Bank of Scotland (Ireland) said it was set to make good progress in 2005.
