Regulator to discuss credit unions' future
The financial regulator is to hold a series of meetings with credit unions across the country over the next three weeks.
The Registrar of Credit Unions within the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority, Brendan Logue, wants to discuss regulation of the movement, and changes to its structure.
Among the issues to be discussed with credit union directors are the future of volunteers in the movement, investment activities, the development of technology and changes to the system of savings protection.
