Land Registry Office wins top eGovernment Award

This year’s overall winner of the Irish eGovernment Awards 2005 is the Land Registry Office.

This office now completes 3,300 business transactions per day online. 80% of the Land Registry’s business has migrated online leading to a remarkable 769,000-paid transactions last year.

Since the online service was launched a total of more than two million paid transactions have been carried out.

The Irish eGovernment Awards recognises innovation through the use of the web and technology in government.
