The RAC motoring group unveiled a 2% hike in annual profits today but said it found members of its roadside services arm harder to retain in 2004.

The UK company, whose portfolio of businesses includes the BSM driving school, reported pre-tax profits of £88.6m (€128.8m) against a haul of £86.7m (€126m) in 2003.
