Congestion plan extended at Chicago's O'Hare airport
An agreement designed to relieve congestion at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and ease airline delays across the United States will be extended for six months, transportation secretary Norman Mineta announced.
The agreement to reduce flights, which took effect on November 1, had been due to expire on April 30. Now it will continue until October 31, cutting 37 daily flights and limiting the number of domestic arrivals to 88 an hour between 7am and 8pm.
