ESB wins BT electricity contract

ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE) today announced that it has won an all-Ireland contract with BT for the supply of electricity to the BT group in Ireland.

The deal is estimated to be worth €10m, and is set to save BT €625,000 per year.

The all-Ireland deal will see ESBIE supplying 55 GWHrs of electricity to 277 sites across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

This is enough electricity to power over 15,000 houses for a year.
