Lobby group backs Northern Bank charges decision

The North's Federation of Small Businesses has welcomed today’s announcement by the Northern Bank they are to introduce free banking for both business and personal customers.

“This is clearly good news for small business owners who are currently over-burdened with banking charges,” said John Friel, FSB regional chairman.

“The three other banks have now got to move in the same direction and offer small business owners the same service. We will watch with interest to their reaction to today’s development.”
