46,000 take out PRSAs

Just over 46,000 people have now taken out a Personal Retirement Savings Account, it was revealed today.

The total value of PRSA accounts is more than €178m.

The Pensions Board says 70,000 of employers have signed up with a PRSA provider while just over 20,000 employees have taken one out though their employer.
