Marconi set for China deal

Rejuvenated telecoms equipment group Marconi said today it was on the brink of an agreement to open up markets in China and the rest of Asia.

The group, which completed a life-saving financial restructuring in 2003, said it was hopeful of signing a joint distribution agreement with China’s biggest telecoms equipment company Huawei by the end of March.
