American Airlines appoints Dublin, Shannon managers
American Airlines has appointed Sheila Murphy as general manager for its Dublin operations and Robert Airaut as general manager for Shannon.
Both roles were created following American's announcement that it will begin flying out both airports on May 2, between Shannon and Boston and Dublin and Chicago.
Don Langford, American Airlines' Managing Director European Services, to whom Murphy and Airaut will report said: "American Airlines is looking forward to starting these two key routes out of the Republic of Ireland in May."
The addition of Dublin and Shannon to its route network will increase American's overall presence in Europe to 12 destinations in eight countries and will give the airline a total of up to 280 nonstop flights a week each way across the Atlantic.
