The threat of industrial action when construction work begins on the new Heathrow Airport terminal has been averted, it was announced tonight.

The threat of industrial action when construction work begins on the new Heathrow Airport terminal has been averted, it was announced tonight.

Amicus warned earlier this week it was considering balloting hundreds of workers in a row over how long it took them to travel to the terminal five site.

But the airport said tonight that a ballot would not be held and arrangements were in place to resolve the dispute through discussions.
