The owners of the cable television firm NTL are reportedly planning to sell the Irish division of the company in a deal that could be worth up to €200m.

Reports this morning said the sale could be completed by April and that at least one Irish consortium was considering buying the firm.

NTL Ireland is the biggest cable TV supplier in the country and has more than 340,000 customers in Dublin, Galway and Waterford.
