ISEQ up as market regains confidence
The ISEQ closed up 60.54 points this evening, at 6373.05.
Most-traded stocks included CRH, down eight cent to €19.75; Ryanair, up seven cent to €5.65 and the financials.
AIB was up 25 cent to €15.50, Bank of Ireland rose nine cent to €12.37 and Anglo Irish Bank jumped 41 cent to €18.91.
Shares in building company Grafton surged 48 cent to €8.60, while rival Heiton rose 50 cent to €7.60. This was on the back of an announcement today by Grafton that 92.12% of shareholders had approved the company's €336m acquisition offer for Heiton Holdings.
Yesterday, the Competition Authority said it had approved the proposed €336m acquisition by the building materials group of its rival.
