Fyffes donates €500,000 to tsunami appeal

Fyffes today announced it is to donate €500,000 to the Tsunami Disaster appeal.

The funds will be channelled through the main aid agencies, the company said.

Fyffes chairman Carl McCann said: "All of our management and staff have been greatly moved by the enormous tragedy that has affected so many people and the countries in South East Asia which have borne the brunt of the Tsunami.

"Many companies are offering financial support to the relief effort now underway and we wanted to show our support."
