BA airports director to leave group

British Airways today confirmed its UK airports director had left the group, four months after the staffing crisis that sparked travel chaos at Heathrow.

BA denied that any pressure had been put on Mervyn Walker to resign after 18 years as an executive of the airline, saying the decision was taken voluntarily.
