Watchdog set to rule on BT 'break-up'

British telecoms giant BT will learn today whether it is to be broken up by industry regulator Ofcom.

Analysts believe a review of the telecoms sector by Ofcom will not recommend the radical move, but will instead call for tighter regulation of BT to guarantee fair competition.
