Airbus owner hails earnings revival

The owner of European aircraft giant Airbus said today a revival in demand for passenger jets had helped it more than double its income in the first three quarters of the year.

EADS said Toulouse-based Airbus had delivered 224 aircraft in the first nine months of 2004 compared to 199 in the same period last year.
